About Us
International City Church (ICC) Brisbane is a growing dynamic multicultural connect church.
ICC is also a House of Prayer for people from all nations and a Place of Commanded Blessing (Psalm 133). We hold weekly prayer meetings where you will experience the supernatural presence, power and love of God.
As a CONNECT church, we value Christ-centered relationships and encourage everyone to participate in a connect group. This is where the church becomes family where we build healthy and life-giving friendships, doing life together. It is also a place for discipleship, learning the word of God together and growing through encouragement and prayer.
What Is ICC Like
Multicultural
ICC is a diverse and dynamic multicultural family church, with people from all walks of life who are being transformed by Jesus Christ. Every Sunday we join together to celebrate what God has done for us, fellowship together and experience a relevant and powerful message.

Community
We believe God created us with a deep need for meaningful connections with other people. In ICC, we value being God’s kingdom family and encourage everyone to join a connect group where they will experience authentic connections. Our connect groups meet all over Brisbane in homes or at church. Pick one that suits you based on location, language and/or interests.
Prayer
Isaiah 56:7 says “These I will bring to My holy mountain and make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on my altar. For my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.” We meet every Tuesday for mid-week evening prayers and hold midnight prayers on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Diversity
We are a multi-generational, multi-language and multi-cultural church that is passionate for Jesus and inspire all to live for Christ. Embracing unity within diversity at ICC is what we believe in. Expect to meet people from all around the world with different cultural backgrounds and language. With many Chinese and Spanish-speaking attendees in our congregation, we offer translations in these two languages at our 8.45 am and 11.15 am services. ICC is a church reflecting a God who is more diverse than anyone culture can represent or understand.
Our History

In 1988, Rev. David Mok, Founding Minister, followed God’s calling to set up International City Church after a year of intensive prayer.
God led Rev. David and Jeannie Mok to revolutionise church and influence the world by converting their restaurant into a place of worship. ICC first started off in an area notorious for drug dealing, gambling and triad activities, offering hope to those often overlooked and forsaken in the community. Today, ICC is home to over 50 nations, a home for all nations but it soon became a place of hope for many.
This church had to be a life-changing, significant force; and influence that would strike deep in the heart of the community.
Since Brisbane had many churches catering to predominantly middle-class Caucasian congregations, we were resolved that as in Luke 14:15, we would go to the highways and by-ways to reach out and minister to the poor, the blind, the lame,’ bringing them into a caring community that would meet their needs and help them integrate into mainstream society. We had already been operating a restaurant in the Chinatown Mall called ‘Restoran Malaysia,’ so we began the first restaurant church in Australia. Every Friday night, Cornerstone Cafe was opened to bikies, street kids and anyone wanting friendship and coffee.
Today, the International City Church family is made up of over fifty nationalities. It also runs the Multicultural Community Centre and the Asian Pacific Institute, which comprises the International Christian College and a cross-cultural training centre.
